How to install needle roller bearings

1. Install full-load needle roller bearings, generally using auxiliary sleeves. The auxiliary roller or auxiliary sleeve holds the needle without causing the needle to fall out. The journal picks up the needle with its own chamfer. As the needle bearing moves slowly inward on the journal, the auxiliary roller or auxiliary sleeve The tube slowly exits until it is placed in the working position. The outer diameter of the auxiliary roller and the auxiliary sleeve should be 0.1-0.3 mm smaller than the shaft diameter.

2. The needle bearing can also be installed by applying a thin layer of lubricating oil to the outer diameter of the auxiliary sleeve and inserting the outer ring of the bearing so that the auxiliary sleeve and the outer ring of the bearing form an annular hole, and then the needle is placed in the annular hole. . After loading the needle roller, push the auxiliary sleeve out with the working shaft.

3. For needle roller bearings without inner ring or without outer ring, when installing, first apply a thin layer of grease to the rolling surface of the shaft or housing hole, and put the needles in close contact with the grease on the installation site. . A gap should be left when the last needle is placed. The size of the gap is preferably 0.5 mm on the circumference of the needle bearing.

4. For needle roller bearings with only the outer ring, since the outer ring wall is very thin, do not hit it with a hammer, and press it with a press. Because the pressure is not uniform when the hammer is struck, it is easy to cause local deformation of the outer ring of the needle bearing.

Tapered roller bearing classification and its characteristics

First, single row tapered roller bearings

The single row tapered roller bearing has an outer ring, the inner ring and a set of tapered rollers are surrounded by a basket-shaped cage to form an inner ring assembly, and the outer ring and the inner ring assembly are separable. In addition, single row tapered roller bearings can adjust the clearance during installation. Such bearings can only limit the axial displacement of the shaft or casing in one direction and withstand axial loads in one direction.

Second, double row tapered roller bearings

The outer ring (or inner ring) of the double row tapered roller bearing is a whole, and the two inner rings (or outer rings) have similar small end faces with spacers in the middle. This type of bearing can withstand radial loads while being able to withstand biaxial axial loads, limiting the bidirectional axial movement of the shaft or housing within the axial clearance of the bearing.

Three or four row tapered roller bearings

The performance of this type of bearing is basically the same as that of the double row tapered roller bearing, but it has a larger radial load than the double row tapered roller bearing and a slightly lower limit speed. It is mainly used for heavy machinery such as rolling mills.

Four, multi-sealed double and four row tapered roller bearings

Multi-sealed double and four-row tapered roller bearings change the traditional design method of fully sealed bearings, adopting a new sealing structure combining sealing and dustproof to improve sealing effect and improve sealing performance. Compared with open-structure bearings, the life is increased by 20%-40%, and the lubricant consumption is reduced by 80%.
